Inside the routine

What we've been using at home.

For a long time, these were the formulations our family used at home — what Suzanne kept on the shelf, what she gave her daughters, what she couldn't find anywhere else. They're available to you now because we decided they should be.

For women who'd rather see what we actually use than read another brand's promises.

A note from Suzanne

There's a difference between what gets sold and what actually works.

Suzanne Suzanne, RN

I've been a nurse for over twenty years, and a licensed medical aesthetician for many of them. In that time I've watched patients try everything for their skin — prescriptions, prestige brands, drugstore products, whatever was trending that month. I've watched what helps barrier function and what destroys it, what calms inflammation and what sets it on fire.

I also had my own lifelong journey with skin. My mom took me to my first dermatologist appointment in the fifth grade. I dealt with acne for years, then sun damage from being out in it too much when I was younger. Now I'm at the age where I'm dealing with both — the residual texture and pigmentation from earlier, plus fine lines and what aging actually does to your skin. I use these formulations on myself, every day.

I have kids of my own — daughters among them. Some of them inherited the same skin I had at their age. The formulations on this page are what I used on them when nothing on the market was right. They're what I refined across years of caring for patients, my daughters, and myself.

These formulations are what we couldn't find anywhere else. That's the short version of why BluPrint exists.

We made them into a brand because friends kept asking what we were using. The answer was too long to repeat in every conversation. So we put it on this page instead.

Before we go further

What's actually in these formulations.

Before we go further

What's actually in these formulations.

Suzanne's note above is the why. This section is the what.

Most skincare brands market the surface — the smell, the texture, the brand identity. The actives underneath are often weaker than the label suggests. Here's what we'd want you to know about these formulations before you read anyone else's experience with them.

If you're the kind of person who reads ingredient lists, this section is for you. — Suzanne

15% Pure Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C works at the concentrations clinical studies use — typically 10-20% L-ascorbic acid. Most consumer serums hide behind 5-8% so they can claim "with Vitamin C" without delivering the active dose. Ours is at the high end of the clinical range.

What this means in practice: Real action on hyperpigmentation, post-acne marks, and dullness — at a strength that requires gradual introduction for sensitive skin (every other day for the first two weeks).

Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum

Different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid penetrate different layers of the skin. Single-weight HA sits on the surface and feels hydrating temporarily. Multi-weight HA actually rebuilds the barrier underneath. Ours uses multiple weights formulated to work in sequence.

What this means in practice: Hydration that lasts past the first hour after application. Especially useful on skin that's been through Accutane, retinol, or persistent dryness.

Night Facial Cream with Baobab

Baobab oil has one of the highest concentrations of vitamins A, D, E, and F of any plant-derived oil — alongside a peptide blend that supports overnight repair. The cream is fragrance-free because fragrance disrupts the actives your skin is trying to use overnight.

What this means in practice: Your skin does its real repair work between 11pm and 4am. This is the formulation designed to support that work without interrupting it.

What we won't include

Synthetic fragrance, parabens, sulfates in face products, denatured alcohol as a primary ingredient, fillers that look impressive on a label but do nothing functionally. These aren't ideological exclusions — they're functional ones.

What this means in practice: The line is small (eight formulations) because everything has to earn its place. If a formulation can't justify itself, it doesn't exist in our line.

One case in detail

Bella's skin, then and now.

Of the circle above, Bella's situation is the one we get asked about most — partly because she's our co-founder, partly because post-Accutane recovery is a story many women recognize. Here's what changed.

Bella before Then
Bella after Now

I didn't want people looking at me in the eyes — because they were looking at my acne over me.

Bella spent middle school and high school trying every product anyone recommended for breakouts. The cycle was familiar to anyone who's been there — something new works for a week, breaks her out the next, dries her skin out the week after. By the time she started Accutane, she'd given up on skincare entirely.

Accutane cleared the acne. What it left behind was the harder problem: skin that was dry, raw, sensitive, scarred, and pigmented in ways that nothing in the drugstore aisle was going to fix. The 15% Vitamin C and the night cream we used at home were what changed it. Slowly. By month three she stopped reaching for foundation. By month six she was the one her roommates were asking what she was using.

Bella's case is the most visible one — but it's worth saying again: it's one of several in our family who've used these formulations for years.

It started at home.

Suzanne uses these formulations every day. Her daughters use them. Her own mother uses them. Three generations of women in our family, with different ages, different concerns, and the same underlying skin — and the same formulations refined across all of us.

Bella's story is the visible one. It's not the only one.
